Mauricio, have you ever tried to run the editor on a control that is ajax enabled? To me it  seems as if it doesn't work with Ajax - as soon as I set the SupportPartialrendering flag on a control that has the editor in it it will fail, e.g. the Text property will be empty on a postback.

Thank you, thats exactly the solution I needed.  If you are using a FCK editor inside a control with supportspartialrendering=true then you must use

AJAX.RegisterPostBackControl(btnUpdate)

... if you want to be able to read the contents of the editor.  A bit of a pain if you want to update without a full postback however.
