Erik,

just downloaded 4.3.5 source and there are no sources. I did check the  DNN_Announcements.resources but this does not contain the .vb files. It is in fact identical to the install version of the module. I tried downloading the module from the Project area but same result. Just to check I downloaded the events module and immediately located the source files.

Am I looking in the wrong place or are the sources actually not there?

Roger

not sure what you mean. The source version of DNN does not contain source installs of modules, because a lot of modules are still asp.net 1.1 (just like Announcements), so it would be pointless to install them straight into dnn 4.x

The proper place to download modules is from the dnn download page (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx), make sure to select the source package. In the case of the announcement module, you can just install the source package as any other module and sources will be available to you then. Make sure to install in dnn 3.3.0 or later though, as this is the minimum version for the module. If you just want to look at the vb files, unpack the source package, rename DNN_Announcements.resources to DNN_Announcements.zip and unzip that too...
