On double checking the source code of my site I notice that DNN already displays meta tags in the header automatically, however Robots appears allways as index, follow.

How can I change it? My DNN runs on a hosting provider (if that makes any diference).

What sort of page do you want to exlude from the search engines, and why?  You could look at my article on using robots.txt to avoid duplicate content in DotNetNuke.  The article is Improve your DotNetNuke Search Engine Optimization by removing duplicated content and it is at www.codeproject.com
