Hello,

I have reinstalled DNN on my local machine several times. The install goes well and the site seems to function properly but when use the "build site" command in Visual Web Developer 2005 Express I get build errors. I get these errors right after the install too so I have not even touched the config nor added any skins or modules.

I plan on using VWD 2005 to develop some modules for DNN but the build errors may hinder this. Below is one of the more common errors I am getting.

Error 1 Error parsing attribute 'enableEventValidation': Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery, Version=3.0.11.3077, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. DesktopModules/Forum/Integration/Integration_GalleryAddFile.aspx

Warning 5 Namespace or type specified in the project-level Imports 'DotNetNuke.UI' doesn't contain any public member or cannot be found. Make sure the namespace or the type is defined and contains at least one public member. Make sure the imported element name doesn't use any aliases.

I am pretty sure that the Gallery Module is a WAP based module and therefore is not supported in VWD Express.  Therefore if you plan on making any changes to the Gallery module you have to have one of the commercial versions of VS.  If that is not the case, just remove the Gallery project formthe project and you should be good to go.

Try it to install the gallery module (3.0.12) later/alone. When it doesn't work there's another attempt (I do it so) is to compile module yourself.

I'm running VWD 2005 Express and had the same problem with the Integration Gallery not building, getting rid of it from the project fixed it. thanks
