I'm still hoping that someone has some insights on DNN Page Templates. I understand they are not fully implemented yet but there must be some format that the XML within them is based on because they exist. I'm talking about the file in \Portals\_default\Templates called Default.page.template Does anyone know the xml formatting for other module/container types (Links, Account Login, Banners, etc) beyond the regular Text/HTML defined in this simple 1 ContentPane template?

Step1: Create a new page and add modules, which ever you want in your template.
Step2: Now we are going to create a template as this new page.
Step3: Login with Host credentials.
Step4: From host menu select protal option.
Step5: Click on "Export portal template".
Step6: Give your name and description to that new template.
Step7: Check "Include in content".
Step8: Then click on Export template.
Step9: It will gives you the path of the template.
Step10: Then navigate to physical location of the template and copy it to portals/0/templates folder.
Step11: Then open the file (it looks like xml file), and alos open default page template.
Step12: Compare both files and delete all content from the new template file (excluding the tabs, description).
Step13: Then expand the tab section and delete all other tabs except our new page tab.
Step14: Now save and done.

You can see this template in the new page creation section under page templates.
