I have a customer located in three nordic countries. He like to have all text in english but all dates and other things in the localized value. No problem I just install the three nordic lunguages and it works fine. (there are a few bugs though) but... There is always a but ... Now the log are logging exeptions to admin that the resource files are missing..... The file was last time 300 pages! I cant install the translated files then visitors get a mix match of languages. I dont like to go through all resourcefiles and make a three not translated files...

So if someone have a better way of solviing this problem I will bee very happy.

Thanks in advance

Jan

Hi Jan,

I think you are talking about static localization only. After you installed a new language pack or custom module you should go to host::languages and check the resource verifier for missing files and keys. you can print the report so after ypi switched over to the language editor you know, which files are to be edited.

Hope this helps.

Sebastian, I do not install the language packs. Just tells the system that there are more languages. The reason for this is that I want the english text to show up.  I know how to edit but I had hoped no to do this.

For the moment I solved the problem by disabling the admin alert logging.

Jan,

for my translations to "de-DE", "de-AT", "de-CH" I created a small Access Application, that traverses a DNN directory tree and duplicates all files with varied locale. if you are interested, I can send it to you.
