Hi,

I have an issue with a new install of DNN (absolutely default set-up nothing fancy) when I try and change the admin password (either when logged in as admin or as host) it doesn't seem to be changed. However after playing for ages poking around I noticed it is updated in the users table fo the database. It does however seem to work ok for other user accounts.

I also noticed that when i open some accounts to edit their details only the username is present so I have to re-enter the forename, surname etc.

Before I go and delete all of the accounts and try starting from scratch has anyone any ideas as to why my user settings are getting forgetful?!?

Honestly, that sounds a bit bizarre and does not reflect any reported issue that I have ever heard of ( sorry ).  Which version of DNN are you using?  Is it possible that your aspnet_client folder is missing?  Need more info to offer any kind of constructive help on this one.

Did you ever solve this issue? I am having exactly the same problem - very frustrating.

Hi,

I ended up finding it was a problem with the email address in the ASPNET_Membership table not being updated, I got hung up on the information in the Users table and didn't even think of looking there. So simply typed in the email and lowered email (email address in lower case only) and hey presto it is sorted.

That said all of the other users were updated correctly just not the host or admin accounts.
