Hi,

I was thinking about how to localize my website. The thing is that I customized some DNN modules. Therefore I have also customized the ressource files which I figured is not good because a) DNN updates may overwrite the changes and b) when I translate my custom ressource files I need to manually figure out which I added.

I was asking myself if I can make the localisation 'modular'. I figured I either have to 'include' one resx file in another (which I didn't manage yet, is it posssible? I know the .config-files can be split up) or to load several resx files (which I also didn't manage to do, because there is only one file specified in the ModuleBase).

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks!

you can use a sharedResouces.resx file, include is not supported.

Can you give me more detailed information about your proposal?
Can I use several sharedResouces.resx files? I only know the one in App_GlobalResources...

Thanks!

you can have one SharedResources.resx file per module, please refer to the Module Developer Localization Guide, that is available from the Documentation : Project page here on DotNetNuke.com.
