After seeing that 4.5.2 was available, watching the forums and upgrading a development site myself then making about a dozen, maybe more posts about the show stopping issues for us it was pretty clear 4.5.2 needed to be reworked. I was very pleased to see 4.5.3 available for download this morning. I did not see 4.5.2 available at that time.
While 4.5.3 is not perfect, it does address some of the major issues that really killed 4.5.1 and .2. While a change log was not made available at the time I give a well deserved thank you to those that fixed the issues and made the update available before waiting to get the changes posted. It's far more important that we have access to a stable, or at least working version before documentation as long as we know the documentation will follow in a resonable time frame.
None of us are forced to upgrade, we usually skip several versions. In this case the permissions at a user level were very important to us so we upgraded right away. For those installs that don't need the more granular permissions, those will probably run 4.3.7 for a while yet.
Also, we have done 3 upgrades so far, 4.5.2, 4.3.7 and 4.5.1 and all have gone without incident and aside form the weird "Account Login only visible to unauthenticated users" issue all seems to be working perfectly.
Thanks to the core team for all of their efforts to keep us running!
