Now that the Events module supports RSS syndication, I have been using the feature quite a bit. The problem I'm having though is if I update an event (modify, not add), the RSS feed still shows the old event details. No, it's not cached. I know that the RSS mechanism in DNN uses the searchable interface to get the data, so I re-ran the search indexer, and still no dice.

The only way that has worked for me is to go into the SearchItems table in the database and delete the rows that correspond to the event in question, and then re-run the search indexer.

Is this a bug in the search module or the Events module? Anyone know of a way so that the RSS will update when the search indexer runs?

I believe this is a bug in the Search module... I could not get it to recognize a change to an event w/o deleting the index and re-initiating the search scan.

Is there a bug report entered for this particular bug? I can't find one, but I will enter/send one if one has not already been reported.

The only thing, knowing how the search submit function works, it will be somewhat difficult to implement, unless they do a field-by-field compare on what was submitted to the DNN ISearchable interface.  One suggestion is to allow the submitting module to indiicate an "update" (or re-submit) to the particular record.  But, I know I am submitting all the records (w/the same key) everytime the search submit function is called...so the core module does not look at changed data.
