Hi everyone,

I am having alot of greif with my DNN installation.

When I try to delete modules, they dont, DNN just switches to View mode instead of Edit. Alot of postbacks are cancelled and don't end up doing any thing. I've changed the cache settings thinking that may fix it but it didn't.

Even host settings cannot be set properly, the postbacks don't do anything. I tried to run SQL, that doesn't submit the SQL and return result. You get the idea..

At the moment I am getting the following error(s):

Were you able to resolve this problem?  I am having to deal with this as well.  I have decided to return to the previous version and try to delete the modules and then upgrade to 4.05.03.

Any thought?

Well a couple things.  First the first error is a standard error that doesn't say much.  DO you know exactly what you were doing when that one was generated?  The second error is due to a localization string not being found in the resources file.

Did you upgrade from a previous version of DNN?  Are you sure that ALL files were copied for the installation?

As I mentioned, my solution was to revert to the original DNN version I was running: 4.0.3.  I then deleted all the custom modules I bought without any problems.  NOW, I am going to upgrade to the latest version of DNN; look at the compatibility issues for the modules I want and then....try to upload them again.

Thanks,

d

After lots of experimentation, I discovered that my PERMISSIONS were not adequate in my hosted environment.  Once I changed the permissions to FULL PERMISSIONS, this problem went away.  Truth is....I don't know why.  I had not troubles in previous versions of DNN (perhaps because they were installed from "inside" my host's environment?).  This is worth a look to avoid many headaches.
