I downloaded DotNetNuke_4.0.2_StarterKit.vsi from the www.easynews.com web site.  Downloaded file size= 4898KB.

Must I own a copy of Microsoft Viisual Studio 2005 to use the DotNetNuke package?  If not, how do I install this starter kit?
Clicking on this .vsi file does not work.

My environment:  MS XP sp2, 384Mb RAM, HP desktop pc.

Thank you for your attention!

The starter kit is for development only, to install dnn 4.0.2 yuo must download the install version.

And no, you can use for development also the visual web developer (with some restrictions)

Actually the Starter Kit is just the install package configured with a few extra items to help you develop modules.

You can use the Starter Kit and Install package in VS2005 OR Wisual Web Developer.  To use the Source package you will need VS2005.
