Hi,

I have two solpart menus in my skin: vertical and horizontal. I have placed the vertical solpart menu on the left pane of my skin and assigned the pane to a class which sets the width of the left pane to 155px. When I test the pane widths without the solpart menus, I get my desired output. The minute I put in the solpart menu, the width of the left pane increases to include the maximum width of one of the flyout menus of the items. I need the left pane to stick to 155px, and the flyout menus to overlap to other panes (i.e. content pane) if/where necessary. I've tried playing around with the skin css file; studying and playing around with the solpart javascript file  (spmenu.js) to see what could be causing the increase in the width.

What I noticed is that the width increases when the mouse enters the area of the vertical solpart menu, and the width stays increased even if the mouse goes out. So I tried changing a few things on the mouse events but don't get the response that I'm looking for. Funny enough, I only experience this problem in IE 6.0/7.0 and not in Firefox. Most of my site users are IE users, and therefore need to get the display right in IE (most importantly).

Thank you,

Ntombi

You did not mention anything about changing the CSS from your skin for the Solpartmenu. I assume it's using the default width then. Have you tried to overide the width of it?

HEre comes a stupid question but I am needing similar functionality on a site....

1. Is the SolPart menu the default menu that comes in the DNN skins when you install DNN?

2. How can you have 4 different menus on one site? I need four different vertical menus on my site as each page deals with seperate sections.

Making much sense?

Cheers
