How can we eliminate the p tag that wraps every entry and line return? I would like that to default to a br

Also, I don't see anything on the toolbar that would allow creation of a paragraph, A page break yes but what about a paragraph.

Thanks for the help.

A workaround until solved is to go to source view, delete the p tags and save it with source view showing. For whatever reason, the editor respects that.

I found it, it's in the custom/js file in the keystrokes section.

In DNN 4.5.3, I am running into a big issue when removing the <p> tags around an <img>.  So here's how to recreate the issue.

  1. Edit Text/HTML module.
  2. Add image as content.
  3. Go to SOURCE view in FCKEditor.
  4. Remove the opening <p> tag.
  5. Remove the ending </p> tag, leaving only an <img> tag with the appropriate properties for the image.
  6. Update the module.
  7. Go back into Edit the Text/HTML module.
  8. The image is now gone in the editor!  Where is it?  ;-)

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, I would love to see a BR button in the editor that would insert a <br /> tag.  I have worked in another non-DNN editor that had that functionality and it was great.

I am building a church website around DNN and would love make it so the users that are updating text, don't have to go into the source very often, and don't have to learn a bunch about HTML.

Who would I go to, to ask for this in a newer version?

Thanks,
mykkMoose
