I am planning to build my site locally and then plan to host, once I find a reputable hosting company that is reliable. Are there any special steps I need to take to ensure this is as painless as possible?  Perhaps there are some manuals/instructions out there?

I envision this process going like this:  install DNN on server; copy all the files in the website floor and move to server, remap all the graphics and such, backup the db created locally (database.mdf?) and somehow populate the tables in the sql database provided by the host...sound right?

Also, slightly off-topic but if anyone reading this thread can tell me whether or not I have to install the MSDN Library when installing VS 2005, I'd appreciate it...Did the first time, but not sure I need installed.  Given I am doing a fresh install of XP, I'd like to keep it as barebones as possible.

See Restoring or Moving a DNN Installation (From backup files) by Mitchel Sellers. This of course assumes that you have full control over SQL Server, which won't be the case in a shared hosting environment.
