I'm trying to delete an old container pack because we have a new version with different containers in it (but the names have changed).

I've tried uploading the new container pack, but it appears to be adding the new containers while leaving the old ones around (which makes sense).

I wanted to delete the old container pack and then re-load the new version.

Here is where the problem comes in: can't delete a container pack while it is in use.

Okay, I've gone through the site and removed all of the containers I can find, but it still says the container pack is in use. Is there any way to run a SQL query against the DNN store to find out where the "in use" containers are so I can fix them?

In the spirit of answering your own question like a dork...

I got out the ol' query analyzer and started digging around the data model, and I cam eup with these two queries to find skins and containers in use.

-- Find tabs with specific skins assigned

SELECT SkinSrc, * FROM Tabs WHERE SkinSrc IS NOT NULL

-- Find Modules with specific containers assigned

SELECT

T.TabName, TM.PaneName, M.ModuleTitle, TM.ContainerSrc, *

FROM

TabModules TM

JOIN

Modules M ON TM.ModuleID = M.ModuleID

JOIN

Tabs T ON T.TabID = TM.TabID

WHERE

TM

.ContainerSrc IS NOT NULL

NOTE: It looks like DNN won't let you delete a skin or container if it's in use in Deleted tabs or modules. I'm not sure if there's some kind of purge module, so I just NULLed out the ContainerSrc or SkinSrc on the deleted tabs/modules record and could do my maintenance in DNN from there.
