Please help!

I restarted my server today, and suddenly I could no longer login to a few of my hosts.?
I think the reason for the restar was a windows update restart for my Win2003..
But I am not sure... I´ve restarted servers lots of time.. and never with this effect!

Not even host can login.

I get an error message in the NT Application log:
"Membership credential verification failed"..

The DNN login say that the password is wrong etc, there is a difference betweb capital ans small letters" or something similar to that.
(It is localized so I am not sure of the exact spelling etc)

In order to login to my portal, i have had to use another user and set the isSuperUser to Yes, and reset the password to clear text and remove the encryption.
But this screws up membership roles etc..

I need to get these portals up and running FAST, so that the users can log in..

anyone have any ideas?
PS
I cannot restore from backup.

Thanks,
David

This was not what i was asking for, sorry.
I know they are case sensitive, but it does not explaon why the login fails, or why the memberships are screwed?

Hi,

no, I´ve not gottern very far..
and I have had lots of help trying to find out what happend.

I had to restore a very old DB.. and manually copy all user data, roles, memberships etc..

Before the restore, i could go into the db and reset all users password, by disabling the encryption and then enter a new password in cleartext.
That workes, except for that all security, roles etc was screwed up..

/D
