Whenever a user go in and edits their profile, well not even edit, just clicks the update button on the Admin\Users\UserSettings.ascx control, they are greeted after the post back with an "error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
in my event view it is elaborated to:

Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Anyone know where this could be coming from and how to fix it? 
After noticing this error I went to the newest DNN install hoping it was just a bad file and the update would heal it but it persisted.....

Update. This error does not occur when I change settings on my host account...
