We have a quite large financial system being built on DotNetNuke which of course include one (actually several) webbsites, but also a couple of services and windows applications. What we want to do is to write all events etc. to the EventLog in DotNetNuke, but I still havn't found a good way to do this from anything but the actuall website, like a windows service. I have tried to create a DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.LogInfo object, fill it up and then write it using the AddLog in DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.EventLogController but this doesn't work. I would assume that this has to do with us calling DLLs directly without having the proper setup which is normally there for the website, like web.config etc. We could of course just bypass all Nuke functionality and just write directly to the database ourselves, but this doesn't exactly feel like the best solution.

Any recommendations on how to do it "best practice"? Anyone done it?

/pJ

You could use IWeb for this.
