Wow!, 420 skins.  That may be a record.

Instead of recycling the app pool, you could recycle the application by resaving the web.config file.

I am using some version of 2.0.

The following is the query string that is returned after selecting "Security Sites" from "Admin"

Default.aspx?tabid=8&error=Value+cannot+be+null.%0d%0aParameter+name%3a+child&content=0

Also, please can you tell me the name of the table that is used for  "Site Settings" in the database and also any files that are relevant to "Site Settings" that I need to look into on the "server".

Morever, I inserted couple records in the "Skins" table linked to TabID "8" to see if that would make the "Site Settings" page work, but failed to do so. The "Skins" table doesn't have any records linked to the TabIDs that correspond to each page that falls under admin.

I am logged in as a host and I get the following error message when going to Admin => Site Settings

Does any one know what might cause this and any suggestions on troubleshooting this problem please...

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.PageLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: child ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: child at System.Web.UI.ControlCollection.Add(Control child) at DotNetNuke.CDefault.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Please go to the Log (Event ) Viewer and see if you can find more information about the error.

There isn't enough details in that message to figure out what may be wrong.

If I were guessing though, I would imagine that it is missing a setting in the database.  Did you only delete the assigned skins in the skins table?

How do you get to the "Log (Event) Viewer"?? Remember, the Admin & Host sections are down. If I can only get to the Log Event Viewer via the Admin & Host menus/droplist then I believe I don't have access to the Log Event Viewer as well.

As far as the skins' table goes, I only inserted couple new records in that table linked to tabID (8) which correspond to "Site Settings", and the Site Settings' page still didn't work. After that, I deleted those two records that were inserted by me manually using the visual studio manager by executing the "INSERT" sql query.
