I have exactly the same issue! Restarting the application does not fix it. I have made a new admin account and it is working ok, but the original admin account can not see content within the module or edit the content. This is all modules, text/html, links, etc...

I have checked the sql tables and the settings for both accounts appear correct in every table I've looked at. I've run all the stored procedures that have got anything to do with returning permissions and they all seem to return what you would expect.

Has anyone got any ideas what might have gone wrong?

When it happen to us, it was becuase some of the temp files were deleted under Documents & Setting, ASP.net Temp folder.

I assumed a DNN restart corrected the issue, but to be honest, I let the server sit for a weekend and it worked on a monday morning.  So, maybe a server restart, DNN restart combined fixed it, or it is there a scheduled DNN system item that hapopens over the weekend.

Wish I had more info.  How long ago did it happen?  If it was today, then wait till tomorrow and check it then.

I am having the same problem.  I have tried the link to "Restart Application" but that did not work.  Here's my setup:

DNN 4.5.1
IIS 6.0
Windows 2003 Standard Server
MS SQL 2005

I will continue to try and fix and if I resolve it, I will post the resolution here.   Please do the same as this is a major problem.
