FeedMailer is a very simple way of subscribing to RSS feeds and receiving scheduled emails.

  • Do you wish you could be alerted by email of new items from any website?
  • Do you want to subscribe to specific areas of a Dotnetnuke website?

Simply click the plus icon, enter a feed URL and you will be sent the latest item by email. FeedMailer only displays a user-specific collection of feeds so no-one else will see your collection except an administrator who can view and manage all of the current feeds by all users.

The Dotnetnuke host account can set the schedule, which is defaulted to 1 hour.

please take care when creating announcement posts, as each saved edit also sends an update email (I received a substantial number from this message today). Whilst I'm sure this was innocent , in future if I feel a message is being edited too much I will interpret it as an attempt to spam the forum and delete the entire message.

Thanks.

cathal -

My apologies. Yes it was entirely innocent. For some strange reason the FCK editor wouldn't allow me to add some well-formed HTML. For example, it would accept most HTML tags, but when I tried to add a link a lot of the HTML was deleted so I had to do it again. This was the reson why I had to eventually reply to my own post with the link.

I'm also having problems with my forum signature - nothing seems to be saved. I'll give it another few goes, after which time I'll try to post in the Forums Project forum.

Apologies once again,

Steve

no problem, thought it was something like that. FYI forum signature updates are currently disabled due to a security issue. This issue was fixed and a new forums update was released last month, but as the forums on dotnetnuke.com use a subtely different version of the forums module we're waiting until the 4.4 release comes out to reenable signature updates.
