Hi,

Couldn't you achieve this by using the RSS/Newsfeed module and loading the Blog RSS into it? then use XSL to limit to 5 entries?  I haven't done this personally, but it seems like a logical solution.

As Tim Thomas pointed out above the best way to handle this is by using the News (RSS) module and binding it to the Blog's RSS feed.

You can then use XSL to style and manipulate the UI anyway you wish.

Good thread.

OK, so for those of us who don't know XSL, does anyone care to share the complete solution?  I've got the RSS feed listing all the blogs, but it would be good to limit it.  How about a mini-tutorial on the XSL module and the RSS feed module.  Anyone up to it?

Also, perhaps this is a very good idea for the future development of the blog module - to have additional modules that will show the latest blogs which you can place on any page - not just the blog page.

Thanks,

Rod
