We installed 4.5.3 from 3.0.1 and all is well, except many of the security roles do not show in the admin lists. They are there, as it won't let me recreate them, and all users permissions work as assigned. These "missing" roles show when managing roles on user accounts too, just not in the Security Role list or other admin pages.

Some roles are there, but many are not. It appears it may be roles bulk imported previously with new user accounts. The user accounts show, just not their roles matched to them.  Roles that were entered manually  do appear.

It makes it difficult to create new pages and modules, when I can't see the roles to assign as needed.
Any suggestions?

I'd start by looking at the Roles table in the database, see if some of them have any odd settings compared to the ones that show up.

Also might see if they somehow to "grouped" differently?
