Hi, everyone:

I met a A weird problem to add module in page . you know, when you want to create your own module.  you need create a web User controller file in your /DesktopModules. after that you need run your web ,and go to  host-> Module definitions ->create New Module. to create the new module and add control , then you can add the module in one page to see how it works. the weird problem I have met is that when you add control for your module, if you fill information in the "Key" and "Title". then I could not add module in the page.

then I come back to this "EditModule control" page. after I deleted the information that I have filled in the "Key" and" Title" these textboxs ,left these two textbox empty , I can add my module in page successfully.

can anyone tell me what the problem is?

thanks

yang

A little bit late, but I can confirm this strange behavior (not to call it a bug). I tried to add a module I developed to a page, I never got any error message but the module didn't show up on the page. I removed the control title and key in the module definition and when I returned to the page the module showed!!

Thanks Yang, I've been looking for a solution to my problem for hours!!

Your default view control MUST have a blank Key. Otherwise, it will not display at all when added ot a page.
