Hi, I’m having an issue with my site DiamondBar8.com where I can’t edit the Register page. When I click the register button I’m taken to a blank page, then when I Sign In as the host or admin I’m taken back to that page but edit mode doesn’t work and I cannot add any modules to the panes.

In the Admin > Site Settings I set the User Page to a page I made but that didn’t work. Does anyone know what’s going on or how I can fix this? Thanks.

I STILL NEED HELP WITH THIS 30 DAYS LATER!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP – I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE IN THIS FORUM WHO NEEDS HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM!

The problem is that the registration page blank… A custom User Page can be defined in the Admin > Site Settings but still when I click on any DotNetNuke “Register” link I am taken to a blank page... The permissions to view the page and the User Account module are correctly set to All Users.

This is what I’ve tried:

1.    I can view and edit the custom User Page but it’s still blank when the referring button is a DotNetNuke “Register” link.
2.    I tried to logging-in to the portal from this blank registration page so that after I did I would be redirected back it in the Admin/editmode but the mode is buggy and not fully-functional.

The custom User Page is registering in the Site Settings but when that page is accessed from a DotNetNuke “Register” link the page’s modules are hidden. The modules exist and registered for that page but they do not display…

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY??? OR CAN YOU PROVIDE US WITH A CLUE AS TO HOW WE CAN FIX THIS?

Thanks!

did you apply the correct permissions for your register page?

Yes, the permissions are set correctly. The problem is that the Register/User Account page is buggy: none of the panes or modules are being displayed. I cannot add any modules to the page because the Add button is disabled… This only occurs when the page is accessed via a register link. If the page is access via another way then it functions normally.

Do you know why none of the panes or modules are displayed when I access the page via a register link?

Thanks.

If you are using version 4.5.3 this is our answer.

Registration page blank

In the file admin/skins/user.ascx.vb, line 142 needs to be changed:

The proper fix for this issue is the following:

FROM THIS:

Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(PortalSettings.UserTabId,"returnurl=" & ReturnUrl), True)

TO THIS:

Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(PortalSettings.UserTabId, "", "returnurl=" & ReturnUrl), True)

The previous suggestion would still not have loaded the User Page specified in Site Settings.
