Thanks Duc. It's the DNN SolPart Menu. My skin has a .html, a .css and a .xml file and I parse it to create the .ascx file.

I worked out how to specify the separator in the .xml file, but strangely the image is then present twice in the result (I had a look with the FF Web developer add-on).

Jeff, this is a bit weird. The skin you sent me looks completely fine in both IE & FF. You should re-install the skin and check if the problem's still there.

Thanks Duc. Just tried an install of the skin - renamed it and did an install as though it was a new one. But with same results, i.e. on my localhost. I'm running DNN 4.4.1. What did you try it on?

I tried it on DNN 3.3.7 (my computer is Win Server 2003 sp1 so I can't install .Net 2.0 )

But AFAIK, there's no differences between skin rendering in DNN 3.x and 4.x

Tomorrow I'll try to upload the skin to a live portal and investigate further.

Thanks Duc. In some research and poking around, I found this in /controls/SolpartMenu/spmenu.js

function spm_browserNeedsSpacer()
{
 if (spm_browserType() == 'ie')
  return false;
 else
  return true;
}

I wonder if this logic is still needed? Perhaps when it was written the browsers are different than they are now?
