I have a custom module that will perform a search based on a value in a textbox, simple stuff and it works perfect on my dev machine.  When I upload it to the client site it seems like the textbox is remembering former values, so I think that points to something gummed up with Page_load, except there is no page load.  It all runs in 2.0 on an ObjectDataSource and there is really no code-behind to speak of.

So what makes this more strange is that it seems like every 2 or 3 minutes it will work; that is, it will "forget" the old value and do a search on the newly entered value just fine.  Then it wacks out for another 2 ro 3 minutes and keeps re-loading whatever is in the textbox.

Of course paging works the samw way; if you wait a minute between selecting a page it will advance.

Why does this work on one machine and not on another?  That makes little sense.

Many thanks.

Weezy

What a maroon!  It was the cache time on the page settings in the module.  D'OH!
