argh - okay someone help me out...

I'm looking for a way to TARGET content to specific groups of users basied on their role...

Here's the situation - and perhaps y'all can point me in the right direction.

I have a site right now for a local group of volunteer policemen..  There are a bunch of us all over the state - but this site is specifically targeted for the local group... and its running DNN...

There is NOTHING ELSE LIKE IT for the other local groups of volunteer policemen across the state... we want to expand the site to work for the entire state... but here's the issue - while we're all cops and we all can see any of the content on the site, someone 100 miles away isn't necessarily going to be interested in the events, news etc going on here... so I'd like to be able to put them in a role that doesn't LIMIT what they can see but merely TARGETS links, menus, etc to that person's roles... if they really want to dig through the menus and find stuff elsewhere, nothing is STOPPING THEM... but I don't want the site to get SO BIG (without targeting) that no one can find what they're looking for...

Any ideas?
