Hi,

Matthew Hintzen says in his toturial Creating a DNN Module and Understanding DNN Architectural Approach

when you give a person access to edit a module’s content using the built in DNN Security support, they also get the ability to edit the actual module.

Is there a way to add sub permissions to DNN, that is permission that apply at a lower than module level?

Or did anyone have exprience with integration a permission manger such as Fredrik Normén's Permission Manager into DNN?

Matthew Hintzen is wrong, his sentence should read:

when you give a person access to edit a page’s content using the built in DNN Security support, they also get the ability to edit all modules placed on it.

If you want to grant content edit permissions to members of a role, grant "Edit Module" permission in module settings.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
