looks like a homerun to me.  more than just beginners luck.

Just a comment.  feedback I'm getting about layout is to be careful with the upper one-third of the layout.  that's prime no-scroll real estate.  Seems like quite a few layouts are using it for logo display.  Once people find a webpage with the content you are looking for, they could careless about your logo, they just want quick access.

Another comment.  I am really dying for a well-laid out calendar/events page.  something like seattle pi's (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/wh/)

What's everybody else hearing?  Maybe it's just me. I suck at design and layout, so I hope you can come up with a layout the masses can use that I can use for my non-profit site.  cheers.

*Note* : this problem is very easy to handle but for those who do not want to do it manually, you may download the newly updated package (V 1.00.01) and install it over the top of the old one.

Ed, the login bar was what made me really go mad while designing this skin. I had to wrap it in 3 divs along with some CSS hacks so that it can be displayed properly in both IE & FF. The reason was that IE & FF handle paddings differently. If you manage to fix it, I'll be very happy.
