I'm trying to recover from a failed attempt to upgrade from dnn 3.3.4 to 4.5.3.  This was my first time to try an upgrade and I goofed and overwrote the original files.  I did back up the db first, but was unaware that the files should have been backed up as well.  I was also able to recover the original web.config.  In trying to recover, I did a clean reinstall of 3.3.4 with the settings from my old web.config.  I got the out of the box set-up fine.  Next, restored my old database which was a 3.3.4 version.  The old website came up slow with the content present, but without pictures or anything that needs to access files I had previously uploaded.  I can access the File Manager under Host, But when I try to access the File Manager under Admin, I get these error messages:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.WebControls.Pager.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The Log Viewer shows seven exceptions.  I'll include three:

Does WebHost4Life possibly have a backup copy of your old site they can restore for you?

Good idea.  I sent a message to the help desk at Webhost4life inquiring about this possibility.  Thanks!  If they don't have a backup, I think my only other alternative is to rebuild the site.
