I manage a site for a client that has the survey module in one of the pages.  He said that the module no longer responds to clicking the "Submit Survey" link or the "View Results" link.  I confirmed this in IE7, Firefox, and Opera.

However, when I log into my host account at the site, the module behaves normally.  I noticed it was an older version of the module (4.00.20) so I upgraded to the newest version (4.00.85).  This made no difference.

His DNN version is 4.4.1.  Upgrading to a newer version is not a practical option at this point because his site (a sports site with around 150 pages) is installed in a virtual hosting account at GoDaddy.  The only way to 'upgrade' under these circumstances is to completely uninstall the current DNN version and install the new version from scratch... sort of like treating dandruff by decapitation.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If it works as host but not as a user it sounds like a cache problem. Go to the Module definitions then the Survey module definition and set the cache to 0 and click the update button.

Thanks for the reply, Michael,

When I checked that, it was already set to 0.  Also - just because I figured I had nothing to lose - I cleared the site cache and restarted the application.

But I'm still getting the same bahavior... works when I'm logged into my host account; doesn't work for the public.

BTW, the other module settings are:
Closing date: 9/30/2007
Maximum bar graph width: not specified
Vote tracking via cookie
Survey results: public

Thanks in advance

I set up the latest Survey (85) on a site running running DNN 4.4.1:

I can't reproduce your error. Anyone?

I just tried your survey link.  It works fine.

I have a local installation of DNN 4.4.1,  4.5.1, and 4.5.3 and couldn't replicate the problem, either.
