Hi dnn-fellows

In a few of my websites I've installed FckEditor manually that means that I've downloaded the free dnn version of the FckEditor at Locopon's website; that I've changed the web.config file...

I've seen now that the FckEditor is the core editor in the last dnn versions.
I want to update in a few days a few of my websites to the new version of dnn 04.05.04 (I'm waiting for that release...).
What have I to do?
Is by the upgrading the FckEditor set? The webconfig updated?...
I've seen also in the forum that the long names of the FckEditor gives some difficulties...
What have I to take in consideration by the upgrading process?

gvborre,

Now that the FckEditor is the default editor in DNN it will also be automatically installed.

When you adjust the release.config to the web.config and make all the necessary changes in it you will see that default editor will be the FckEditor. This is since a couple of releases ago. At least this is also for dnn 453 cause i have those installed aswell.

The upgrading is blogged by several people. At least it has been done by Erik van Ballegoij a while ago. Check out his blog over here.

Cheers,

Marc
