I've been trying to determine what's wrong with my setup for hours.  Hopefully someone can lend some insight...

I've done a straight forward install of the DotNetNuke_3.2.2_Install carefully following the instructions in the DotNetNuke Installation Guide.  The install seems to go without a hitch, however when I try to log in with host/host I get redirected to my portal page and it seems I'm not logged in.  Only the Home tab shows up.  Also, the bar at the top still says Register | Login rather than My_Name | Logout.  I'm sure that I'm being validated by the login screen because if I enter invalid credentials I get an error.

I saw some posts that refer to the File Settings, so I've double checked that I have the Security Settings correct.  ASPNET, IUSR_XXX, and Network Services accounts all have Modify/Read/Write/Execute including the sub directories.

The OS is Windows 2003.  I am not running any firewall software on the machine.  I'm accessing the webpage on the console via localhost.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

sounds like a cookie issue. Are you running any software such as norton internet security, it may be blocking the cookie.
