Is there a handy chart available in the documentation or on the web that shows the location of the various configuration settings...? Distribution between....

SQL database / web.config / other .config files / other files (eg Providers)

Thank you.

There are two whole books!  :)  Watch the rotating ads and you will see the links for them come up every now and then.  One of them is also added in the default install.   $30 and it's not to bad a deal to get you up and running in little time.

Cheers,

Paul Davis

Was looking for a handy chart rather than "two whole books." That said, for anyone interested, I found it very helpful to examine the tables in the SQL database to see where and how settings are stored. E.g.,

SELECT * FROM modules

SELECT * FROM portals

SELECT * FROM portalalias, etc, etc

It was also helpful to examine the "DotnetNuke.template" file, located in the "Portals\_default" directory.  This is an XML file that contains the parameters and settings used when a portal is created.  Very instructive.
