Hi,

I have made a module in DotNetNuke4.4.1 by using WAP its working fine . whane i am making its install package with single DLL because of WAP its working fine on this version and higher versions but when i am uploading same install package on lower version of dotNetNuke its giving error.

Please tell me why this is happening cause i have to deliver it to client asap.

you need to package your module with the lowest DotNetNuke version, it shall be compatible with, otherwise .Net cannot check version compatibility

you mean i have to make it in DNNN 4.0.1 this is not fair cause the module which i  am making in DNN3 in any version it is running successfully on all dNN versions

yes, you must build it against the oldest version you want to support.

Since 4.x occured after 3.x, all 3.x modules are considered "compatiable" with 4.x from the .NET runtimes perspective.

but one last thing i want to confirm that i am using WAP to make Module cause in 2005 it is the only way to get a single dll for your module

and did it on DNN4.4.1 so it will not run on any lower version then it , only want to confirm it.

and what if i make it on DNN4.0.1 will it run on all DNN Versions.
