Hello everyone,

I am trying to find a place to change the text for the password reminder.  Here is the text currently:

You can request your password by providing your userName and the password will be sent to the email address you provided during registration.

If this portal supports it, you can optionally request your password by providing this email address. In this case you do not need to provide the username.

You may also be asked to provide the answer to the question you provided on registration.

Because I do not think my users know what a portal is, I would like to get rid of the second sentence.  Are there any ways to do that?

Go to Admin > Languages and then go to the Language Editor. Here you can edit the text and subject of system messages like this one which is called EMAIL_PASSWORD_REMINDER_BODY.Text

Thank you for the quick response.

I am referring to the text that shows when a user clicks on the password reminder link, not when they request a password reminder.  Basically, on my site, I'd go to login, click Forgot Password? to find the text I want to change.

Did you ever find an answer to your question about how to change the Text on the page displayed when 'Forgot Password?' is clicked?

Hi Matthew,

That value is located in the admin/Security/App_LocalResources/SendPassword.ascx.resx resource file.  You'll still use the Language Editor to change the value; navigate to the proper node in the tree (Under "Local Resources") and look for the key titled "SendPasswordHelp.Text".

Hope this helps!

Brandon
