I have had the blog module running publicly (www.digitaldevotion.org) for a while I have an suggestion that might help its usability.  If you enable anonymous commenting, all the comments are posted as if they come from user "anonymous."  If you turn off anonymous commenting to force people to create an account and log in, it is not readily apparent what the user needs to do to post a comment.  When an unautheniticated users scrolls to the bottom of the blog post they just see the existing comments with no apparent way to post a new comment.

I have thought of two different options to rectify this:

1) Simply add a "name" field to the post form when anonymous comments are enabled and use this for the name of the person that posted to the blog.

2) Add some text at the bottom of the page that explains that registration is required to post along with a link to the registration form.  After registration is complete, link them right back to the blog post with the comment post form displayed.

Hope that this suggestion helps!

Have a look a the new version 03.02.00 which is available since last month. I believe the new version should solve your problem.

Perfect!  I had installed the 03.1.20 version because I thought it was newer than the 03.02.00 version (in decimals 3.1 is larger than 3.02).  At any rate, it works great!
