Hi,

I'm trying to install DNN with SQL Express. Since I have severals errors while setting up the databse, I think the docs are missing some infos:

1) What kind of permissions do we need for the db?

2) Do we need to install SQL Express in Mixed Mode?

3) How does the file based db-access work?

Thanks in advance,

Parker_Louis

Hey Parker,
First, what kind of errors are you getting?  If you could post them, that would really help us find out what your problem is.

1)  I'd say you need full read/write permissions on the database.
2)  No.
3)  What SQL Express does it it temporarily attaches the database that is provided to it.  Then it lets you do your operations on it and then (potentially) unattaches the database.  Its a little more complex than that, but that's it in a nut shell.
