Hi All

I've got an uber-newby question here. How to I add one of the WebControls (DNNMenu in particular) to a DotNetNuke based website?
I just did a fresh installation of DotNetNuke 4.5.3, now when I login as host and go to add a module none of the WebControls appear in the list of installed/available modules. Are web controls not modules? Are they not meant to be directly added to a sire? I've done a fair share of web development "by hand", but I am completely new to the DotNetNuke and still trying to wrap my head around it. While doing so, sometimes I feel like my head is about to explode :P

Please help!

Thank you.

web controls are to be used in modules or skin objects, they cannot be used separately.

There are skin objects for the menu, please refer to the skinning guide, that is available from the documentation page here on DotNetNuke.com

If someone could give me the most basic example of a skin, preferrably in ascx format that utilizes the DNNMENU it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you

The default blue skin that ships with DNN uses the DNNMenu.
