We are currently in the process of developing our own in-house modules.  Many of the modules need to navigate between one another while residing on different pages and require taking parameters from the module being navigated away from.  Is there a built-in way to do this or will we need to build some sort of dispatcher module to reside on every page where our modules reside to control cross-page navigation and communication?

see: Module Navigation Options

I read that page before I posted here and there isn't one instance explained there that is like what we are trying to do.  We have a need to be able to navigate from Module X on one page to Module Y on another page and pass information from Module X to Module Y that would be used by Module Y to load its view properly.  It's kind of like inter-module communication, but across pages.

We have inter module communication and event que. i don't have any documentation however, Also, I have found that using personalization Module Settings and Personalization: Easily Store Data for Your Module (VB &C#) I have been able to implement this behavior.

When a person selects an option on page 1 I store that option in their personalization. I then provide a link to page 2. On page 2 I see the option they chose an display the information on page 2 accordingly.

This is how a shopping cart checkout page would work. The nice thing about this is it allows them to use the back button and not lose any information. It even allows them to log out and log in and not lose any information.
