Hi,

Can someone explain what the hidden check box does in page settings? Does it just remove the page from the menu or is that too simple an explanation?

Also I am not totally clear on child portals. Would it be correct to say they are the equivalent of a subdomain?

Thanks
G. M.

A hidden page is a page not listed in the menu - in DNN 4.5.3+ this has been replaced with "show in menu" checkbox. you can always place a link to a hidden page in any modules

A locked page shows up in menu, but cannot be selected - it is usually added as a menu root to improve UI consistency (sorry, not on dotnetnuke.com)

Child portals are portals residing in a subfolder (e.g. www.,mydomain/portal) - this is not the same as a subdomain (portal.mydomain.com).
