Thanks, but I'm still not sure if I totally understand everything I need to do. Let me see if I have it right....
1. I need to download DOTNETNUKE (it doesn't matter what version I use right?)
2. I need to have IIS installed right?
3. I need to unzip the downloaded Dotnetnuke zip file into some directory on my computer right?
4. I need to create a virtural directory within IIS right?
5. I need to have some database program on my computer right? It can be either MSDE and ACCESS OR it can be the full blown SQL Server? If I'm not using SQL I'm still a little confused on the database issue.
6. I have to go into the database program and create a generic database and name it dotnetnuke? And I don't have to add anything or do anything inside that database right?
7. I'm a little fuzzy on these next steps that you described above:
- Use MS Access the office frontend to create an Database project that connects to your DB. It will be called and adp or SQL Project not an Access project.
- Name the project DotNetNuke, Save it and close Access.
- Change the connection string in web.config to connect to the DB instance as user SA.
8. Next I should be able to go into IE and type http://localhost/dotnetnuke and that's it right?
Adeian, you said that I could email you, but I don't know your email address.
Thanks.
