Hi , I can not delete a page on my site. This is using all available methods in DNN4.05.3. When I click on delete page refreshes and the page is still there. When I try to delete modules on this page the effect is the same. This also happens with host and admin logins. Once I am on this page I can also not logout. I have to close the webpage and reopen. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. This is the error I get :
"A page defined as Home, Splash, Login or User Page for the portal, or the last visible Page in the portal cannot be deleted."

This happens with all pages. Anyone have a solution for this? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Christopher

Similar here, I use 4.5.5, I try to change settings of page, or edit text in text/html module, when I click on update, it just refreshes the page, nothing saved. One thing I noticed, whenever I click on update, it is just changing the page from edit mode to view mode or vice versa.

I ended up reinstalling DNN and now it seems to be working again. There are a few things I did different this time around. I can't say for sure if they are there reason for fixing the problem. I let you know if I run into the problem again.
Steps I took to reinstall:
1) Dropped old DotNetNuke database and dnnuser account. Recreated DotNetNuke db and dnnuser.
2) Deleted my c:\DotNetNuke folder.
3) Created new c:\DotNetNuke folder.
4) Copied all files/folders to the new c:\DotNetNuke folder.
5) Set FULL permissions for the c:\DotNetNuke folder for the NETWORK SERVICE account
6) NOTE: I didn't edit the web.config file. Instead I let the automatic install edit it. Using my input from the webpage of course. Last install I edited the web.config myself.
7) NOTE: I didn't add any authentication services. Where as the last time i installed I added CardedSpace and ActiveDirectory
8) After the install, I logged in under admin and created a test page.
9) Then I deleted it with success.
