Hi...

I just installed the DNN 4.5.3 starter kit on VS2005.  When I go to create a new website (or any new project for that matter), VS2005 just hangs up with the drop down menu sitting there open and the little hourglass sits there.

The install seemed to go fine...Nothing gave me any errors.

I checked the ContentInstallerHistory.xml file and it says that 5 files were added, but when I go to the actual template directory, the only file I can find is in \Visual Web Developer\Visual Basic\DotNetNuke.zip

I hope I didn't just destroy my VS2005!

Thanks for any help!

Greg

I am having the same issue.  I found a solution for it before, but I wasn't having the issue at the time, just came across a posting.  Will update when I find it again.

I guess I made a mistake.

The 5 files that the xml file said were there were there..I was looking in the wrong directory.

I just deleted them and VS2005 creates new projects fine now.  I would love to be able to figure out why Just putting in those 5 templates caused it to hang up like that though...
