If the old one has been deleted, you could install this one:

http://dnnblog.venexus.com/Alternative+DotNetNuke+Login+Module+That+Enforces+Terms+And+Conditions.aspx

There was a step by step procedure for adding the login definition posted in these forums not too long ago, but for the life of me I can't find it, not even Google knows where it is!

I already gone through this post http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/145354/threadpage/3/scope/posts/Default.aspx
. I am not sure wether your solutions will work for DNN 4.5.3. I followed exactly what you have written to create new Account Login Module but few of the files you referred doesent exist in DNN 4.5.3. All I can see signin.ascx and Signin.ascx.vb under Admin/Security/ folder but Signin.ascx.resx is missing.

Point 9: For Source, put (under the drop box) "Admin/Security/Signin.ascx" : This never shown in the drop-down menu and even i didnt find any Admin/Security/ listing in the drop down menu.

The Signin.ascx.resx should be in the Admin/Security/App_LocalResources folder.

Instructions updated for clarity.

Host -> Modules Definitions

  1. Click "Create New Module"
  2. For Module Name, Folder Name, Friendly Name, enter "Account Login".
  3. For Description, enter "Allows users to login to the portal."
  4. For Version, enter "01.00.00"
  5. Click "Create".
  6. Now, In the New Definition textbox, type "Account Login" and click Add Definition
  7. Click "Add Control"
  8. For Title, enter "Account Login"
  9. For Source (the textbox underneath the drop box) type in or copy and paste "Admin/Security/Signin.ascx"
  10. For Type, select "Anonymous"
  11. Click "Update"
