I would like to know the answer to that as well. My app is done in C#    Does your application need a certain Namespace added to it so that you your application can access DNNs  CurrentUserInfo method as well as the UserInfo object?

Is this done through building your application as a private assembly package so DNN can then install the app as a module?

Isn't your examples, really, if I am going to make a custom module out of the ASPX page?

I am trying to just call the page via a link and open in a new window and I am trying to not have to compile it into the DNN system.

I have now re-read your original post more carefully.

For what you desire I would suggest passing a user ID using a querystring. In the .aspx page that receives the querystring you can get the user data by using code that is contained in IWeb . You don't actually have to use IWeb to make a web service call (you can do that too) but it contains code that shows how you can reference the dotnetnuke.dll and get information on a user (basically you have to pas the portal id).

You may be tempted to simply call the DotNetNuke database tables directly. The problem with that is that when you upgrade DotNetNuke things will break.
