Hi all,

I have a design question.  I've created a module called Events and within that have a control called Add Event.  I've written a control which works which adds the event succesfully to the database.

I'd like to use the same control for when people are editing the event and I'm not quite sure the best way to do this.  I would normally pass in a querystring into the page to indicate the record to open.  To do this, should I create a new control in my Module, or can I re-use the one I have already defined for creating the event.

Also, once the event is created, I would like to redirect to a control in a module - how would you do this?  I would in the vanialla .net world just redirect to the appropriate aspx page.  I presume there must be a DNN API call I should use?

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks,

Olly

Normally you would write an editEvents.ascx, add  it as new Control with the key Edit to your module definition.

Then you use the framework function EditUrl to create the link to that Control.
