Shhh.. don't say that too loud or Amazon will decide to open their own third party payment gateway. :)  That wouldn't be so bad either though.  I feel the same way, if all that was available on a DNN site was "Pay with Amazon" or pay here, I'd choose Amazon.  I think a lot of people are starting to feel more comfortable with trusted third party pay sites where it used to be considered lower class if you made the option available.

Are you serious about the store module having an E-mail Payment Provider that send CC info?

I have clients who wanted this as they are bricks and mortar retailers and do their payment processing in-store. The non-dnn cart I gave them encrypts and saves one half of the card number in the db and delivers the other half by email to the store owner. It never stores the compete number in one place. This is apparently sufficient security for the banks.

That's interesting.  Why send half a CC#? Are they able to use that to actually make the charge?

The client sits in his shop and when he gets an email with half the number and wants to process the order, he signs into the cart, gets the other half and puts it into his pos machine. This way neither the site nor the email ever has a complete number. I've made the suggestion to the developer of one of the upcoming carts, so I'm hoping he might be able to do something similar.

Cool. I guess it could be made even more secure by encrypting the e-mailed half, but that does sound better than putting the whole thing in the DB.
